Dara Schechter is a highly experienced and accomplished communication professional with a diverse and extensive background across journalism, academia, and corporate communications. She holds a master's degree in Journalism from the prestigious Northwestern University - Medill School of Journalism and a Bachelor's degree in English from Rutgers University. Schechter is a Canada-US dual citizen and has worked in international environments, developing cross-industry partnerships and leveraging her expertise in forging robust and enduring relationships.

Schechter is currently serving as the Manager of Transport and Infrastructure at WSP, a global engineering consultancy, where she ideates and develops strategic messages that address resilience and sustainability in the transport and infrastructure industry. She has excelled in writing, editing, content creation, research, analysis, and interview adeptness, honed from her journalistic background to support message development. Schechter is uniquely talented in originating and directing content direction, identifying communication opportunities, implementing strategies, and writing clear and compelling pieces from even the most complex information, using audience-appropriate tone and style. Additionally, she has also directed and managed projects from inception to delivery, cementing her reputation for delivering results.

Schechter has worked in several executive roles throughout her career, including as the Director of Communications at Dara Schechter Communications, Director of Public Relations at Icelandair, and Director of Global Public Relations at Dow Jones & Company, Interactive Publishing. She is equally skilled in developing thought leadership articles, white papers, executive speeches, news-features, case studies, and business reports.
