Nicholas Brydon
Nicholas Brydon is a highly skilled and knowledgeable Sterilization/Microbiologist Consultant with a strong background in medical device validations. He is an experienced leader, applying Lean Six Sigma/PMI project management principles to prioritize multiple high impact projects, take on additional responsibilities, and meet changing project demands. As a member of the AAMI sterilization working groups ST/WG-01 (EO) and ST/WG-02 (Radiation) and a member of AAMI quality systems management working group QM/WG-01, he continuously contributes to industry standards. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Rhodes College and a Master of Science in Microbiology from the University of Florida. Additionally, Nicholas has a wide range of experience and technical knowledge managing biocompatibility, cytotoxicity, reusable device cleaning validations, IQOQPQ equipment validations, controlled environment certification, and AAMI/FDA compliance 21 CFR, ISO 11135, 11137 series, 11737 series, 10993 series. His sterilization skills include CISS-EO ethylene oxide sterilization, CISS-RAD gamma irradiation and E-beam sterilization, and CISS-MH steam/moist heat sterilization. Throughout his career, he has worked with Johnson & Johnson, Cook Medical, Medtronic, Smith & Nephew, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis Zoo, and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
