Mari Ettlinger

Mari Ettlinger is a highly experienced Product Design Lead, Head of Design/Strategist, consultant, and specialist based in the San Fran East Bay area.

With a background working at renowned organizations such as Adobe, Autodesk, McKesson, NCM, Marqeta, and Pixar, Mari focuses on empowering and coaching designers, teams, and organizations to create world-class digital experiences and establish effective team collaboration processes.

Mari's expertise lies in project design/consultation, full-time Design Lead roles, and acting as an interim Head of Design to implement best practices, lead design projects, and manage other designers with the aim of enhancing customer experiences and engagement in products.

In a recent consulting role at Tinyhood.com, Mari conducted an audit of processes, partnered with the marketing team on new initiatives, created design systems, initiated a website and app redesign, introduced design governance, collaborated with cross-functional teams, defined UX and UI processes, conducted design team assessments, wrote job requirements, managed a team of designers, and presented new branding systems and governance.

Before Tinyhood.com, Mari held leadership positions at CareCar, Titeg, and consulted for Abbott Labs, Atlassian, and The ThingMarket, working with teams globally.

Mari also held the role of Instructor and Mentor at UC Berkeley's design program for five years, guiding students in their design education.

Having completed a Master's degree in Design and Visual Communications from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Art/Design from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Mari Ettlinger brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the design industry.
