Clemency Burton-Hill is a highly-accomplished broadcaster, journalist, and author with extensive experience across various artistic and creative disciplines. She completed her BA in English Literature with a Double First and an MA (Cantab) at the University of Cambridge, then went on to receive a Kennedy Scholarship at Harvard.
Burton-Hill is a regular presenter of arts and current affairs programs for BBC Radio 3, Channel 4's Unreported World documentary strand, and other media outlets. She is also a respected print journalist, with bylines in all major UK broadsheets including the Guardian, the Financial Times, Intelligent Life, and the Independent. Burton-Hill has also contributed to several US publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Opera News, and Departures.
Aside from her exceptional writing and broadcasting skills, she is also a member of BAFTA and has judged prestigious awards such as the Amnesty Media Awards, the One World Media Awards, and the 2013 Costa Book Awards.
Burton-Hill's areas of expertise lie in live and recorded/studio broadcasting, TV/radio programme hosting, interviews, presentation, reporting, comment, and analysis. She is well-versed in the arts, ranging from classical music and literature to theatre and film. Burton-Hill's interest in these areas is clear from her work as a classical music columnist for BBC Culture, and her three-book novel deal with Headline Review.
