Maureen Rinkunas is a seasoned innovation strategist and a passionate mentor to early-stage entrepreneurs. With a strong background in Deep Tech verticals, Maureen has worked with hundreds of innovation teams, helping them move from ideation to market adoption in new, undefined markets.
Maureen is a former senior executive at Coplex, a prominent venture studio focused on health innovation. There, she led teams in the design, validation, and build of new ventures in partnership with clinical entrepreneurs and innovative corporations. She has also worked with Emerging Innovation teams at DuPont, helping internal teams think and act more like startups while establishing a scalable model for open innovation and strategic corporate venturing.
Maureen's expertise in innovation and entrepreneurship makes her an active startup mentor at 500 Startups, mHub, IndieBio, HITLAB, I-Corps, and other programs for early-stage entrepreneurs. Her expertise lies in how to assess and move from idea to execution using Lean Startup and Design Thinking principles.
Maureen holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship, an MS in Chemical Engineering, and a BS in Chemical Engineering, all from Lehigh University. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Lehigh University as well as the University of Delaware.
