Saiph Savage is an accomplished Assistant Professor and researcher in human-centered artificial intelligence (A.I.) and computer science. With a Ph.D. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a bachelor's degree from the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico, Dr. Savage has conducted groundbreaking research in the field of human-computer interaction, earning paper awards at prestigious scientific venues including CHI, CSCW, and the Web Conference. She has won multiple grants to study rural workers' empowerment, and her research is regularly featured in outlets such as the BBC, The Economist, Vice, and Fortune. Moreover, Dr. Savage has held leadership positions in notable organizations such as the Latin American SIGCHI committee, the Center of Democracy and Technology, and the Federation of American Scientists. Dr. Savage has also worked in tech-related companies such as Intel Labs and Microsoft Bing, as well as academic institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, University of Washington, and West Virginia University.
