Wathsala Wickramapathirana is an experienced Java Developer and Architect with over a decade of experience building Java applications and leading and mentoring teams. With a focus on mobile payment services and web/ecommerce domains, Wickramapathirana has developed proficiency in a range of technologies, including Java, Spring, RabbitMQ, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, AWS, REST, ORM, and more. Wickramapathirana believes that collaborative, self-driven teams can achieve successful software project delivery in an agile, test-driven development and continuous integration environment.

After studying Information Systems at The Manchester Metropolitan University, Wickramapathirana went on to work as a Senior Software Engineer at Virtusa Pvt. Ltd. before joining Aeturnum as a Tech Lead. Later, as a Consulting Architect at PayPal, Wickramapathirana played a key role in designing and developing a mobile payments microservices system. Wickramapathirana now serves as a Software Architect at Aeturnum, where they continue to bring their expertise in Java development and team leadership to the development of cutting-edge software solutions.
