Joel French
Joel French is a highly accomplished individual who specializes in enhancing the integration of science, education, and innovation within fitness companies and improving the profitability and engagement of health and wellness programs in hospitals and academic institutions.
With a solid academic foundation, Joel pursued postdoctoral studies in Cardiac Physiology and Microbiology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, a Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Florida, an M.S. in Exercise Physiology from St. Cloud State University, and a B.S. in Exercise Science and Psychology from the University of Sioux Falls.
Throughout his career, Joel has held prominent positions such as Head of Fitness Science at Tempo, Director of Sports Science & Wellness at the University of Colorado Boulder, and Senior Director of Research, Fitness, and Wellness at Orangetheory Fitness.
His extensive experience includes managing teams and budgets, fostering strategic partnerships, utilizing research and education to drive financial success, and developing and overseeing health and fitness programs for numerous participants.
Additionally, Joel has made valuable contributions to various organizations and institutions, serving in roles such as Adjunct Professor at Concordia University, St. Paul, Exercise Physiologist at Mayo Clinic, Director of the Diabetes Prevention Program at UnitedHealth Group, and Assistant Scientist at the United States Olympic Committee.
