James Cannon, also known as Jim, is a highly experienced and skilled communications industry executive with a broad range of expertise from cable to cellular technology. He is a chief architect of disruptive mobile systems, built from the ground up with mobility in mind. His main concern and focus are on the longevity of humankind through consistent stewardship of the planet.

Cannon studied Electrical Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Electronics at Hudson Valley Community College. He finished the General Regents Diploma at Shenendehowa High School, and he is a member of the IEEE.

Cannon's experience began in cable television system design and installation and evolved as he became a project manager for software systems. He served as architect and project manager for various systems such as content management systems, vendor selection systems for government contracting, social systems, online shopping carts, and the first mobile apps, which were actually WAP pages for 2G cell phones.

Cannon's expertise extends to complete MVNO systems integrated into the provisioning and maintenance systems of all four major carriers, risk management systems for the above system, MVNE platform for others to become MVNOs through contracts, and a complete overhaul of how PBX works on cell phones. He designs complex systems and manages multinational groups to build and integrate them.

On the business side, Cannon has managed companies and teams, handled budgets, and set expectations at every level of an organization. He has experience selling to C-level stakeholders such as investors, Olympic sponsors, and mobile PBX users. He has driven contract negotiations with content providers, international telephone carriers, and international vendors.

Cannon currently serves as the VP Global Engagements at Working Group Two, and previously held positions such as Principal Engineer II at Charter Communications, Product Design > Program Manager at VettaCom, Inc., Division of Toto Communications at Toto Town, LLC, Product Design > Program Manager > Sales VP > CEO at Toto Communications, Inc., Division of Toto Communications, Inc. at Bid Teams, Inc., and CTO at Advocast, Inc.
