Zoë West
Zoë West is a highly educated, accomplished, and experienced researcher, educator, and oral historian whose work focuses on labor organizing, migration, and human rights. She received her PhD in social anthropology from the University of Oxford and has since collaborated with various organizations in different capacities. Prior to co-founding Rhiza Collective, West worked as an adjunct faculty member at Columbia University and the Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Center for Labor Studies, SUNY Empire State College. She also served as a researcher at The Worker Institute at Cornell University ILR School and worked as a freelance research and training consultant. West's commitment to grassroots activism and social justice informs her approach to engaged research, oral history, teaching and training, and organizing.
