Mark Engledow is a seasoned business continuity manager, emergency planning expert, and crisis management professional. He has developed, tested and maintained emergency preparedness measures for various hospitals and law enforcement agencies across the UK. He is also an accomplished research analyst credited with implementing a range of robust research techniques combining quantitative and qualitative methodologies to identify community issues.
Mark has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The Open University and a Master's degree in Emergency Management and Planning from the University of Hertfordshire. He has also studied CBCI (Merit) in Business Continuity and Emergency Planning at the Business Continuity Institute and Emergency Planning College.
With extensive experience working in the public sector, Mark's work revolves around developing and implementing solutions to complex, cross-organizational issues. He has served as the Business Continuity Manager for Bedfordshire Police and previously held the position of Resilience and Business Continuity Manager at Kettering General Hospital Foundation Trust, Head of Resilience, Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Manager at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust, and Emergency Procedures & Business Continuity Command at the Metropolitan Police.
Mark is an adept communicator and an innovative exercise planner and facilitator with experience conducting live play and table-top events involving local, regional, and international responders. His projects include the development and publication of the London Emergency Services Major Incident Manual, and the development and implementation of local and regional operations centers.
