Gisle Hegstad is a highly experienced and accomplished leader and technologist with a strong background in industrial operations, team building, and project management. With a Master's degree in Technology Management from a partnership between NHH, NTNU, and MIT Sloan, and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from NTNU, Gisle has dedicated his career to delivering technical, environmental, operational, and organizational improvements across various industries.

Gisle has an impressive track record of leading teams to deliver improved efficiency, having achieved all-time high results in three different factories throughout his career. He has also taken the lead on many change and strategy initiatives, driven by his curiosity in technology, particularly disruptive technology, which he fostered during his studies at MIT. His interests in green energy, environmental technology, risk management, HSE, and quality align with his focus on driving organizational growth and innovation.

Prior to his current role as Managing Director at KIBO AS, where he oversees the overall direction of the organization, Gisle served as Production Director at Prysmian Group/Draka Norsk Kabel AS, where he led production activities and increased product quality. He also held several leadership positions at Södra Cell Tofte, from MTM-student and Shift Manager to Shift Manager & Project Manager. In addition to his industrial roles, Gisle served as an Officer at Forsvaret - Norwegian Armed Forces.
