- Contribute to strategic planning and systems development in areas of grantmaking, research, communications and operations at private family foundation supporting domestic and international initiatives advancing human rights, global health equity, education, economic empowerment, and environmentalism.
-  Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop, define, and implement a values-driven and grantee-centric strategic compass to protect donor legacy and intent.
-  Support the entire scope of grantmaking, including identifying potential grantees, co-developing proposals with prospective investments, conducting due diligence, making recommendations, grant disbursement, and reporting and evaluation.
-  Promote and leverage opportunities for non-financial support for grantees, including partnerships within the Foundation’s portfolio to engage, collaborate, and exchange learning where strategic.
-  Continually landscape the fields related to the Foundation’s core funding areas for best practices, key developments, and utilize that research in strategy development and implementation.
-  Develop robust internal and external communications strategies to strengthen stakeholder relationships and advance the Foundation’s position in the greater philanthropy sector.
-  Write and design all digital and print newsletters, reports, website copy, and other communications materials.
-  Oversee all aspects of the internship program, including: recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and day-to-day project management.
-  Develop and strengthen policies, procedures, and other internal systems to keep operations efficient, learning-centered, and adaptive.
