Raymond Reed Baker is an accomplished practitioner and academic in the fields of corporate governance, financial reporting, internal controls, board of director oversight, and crisis management. He has over 20 years of experience in accounting, with 15 of those years spent in Asia. He specializes in advising public and private companies on corporate governance, financial reporting, internal controls functionality, board of director effectiveness, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Raymond's expertise also extends to educating executives, MBA students, and boards on the basics of corporate governance and crisis management. He is currently involved in researching the use of corporate governance tools by venture capital and private equity firms.
Raymond has earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Accounting from The University of Hong Kong, a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the HKU MBA (Faculty of Business and Economics, The University of Hong Kong), and a B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University - University Park. Furthermore, he has worked for various organizations such as One World International Group Ltd., Tongji University, FT Board Director Programme, The University of Hong Kong, Xiamen University, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Great China International Holdings in different key positions.
