Jessica Lessin is an accomplished journalist who founded The Information, a premier source of in-depth and hype-free reporting about technology, in 2013. With offices in San Francisco, New York, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C., The Information has become essential reading for hundreds of thousands of professionals across industries. Fast Company recognized The Information as one of the "Most Innovative Media Companies" in 2018 due to its deeply reported journalism. Jessica and her team have won numerous journalism awards, including coverage of sexual harassment in Silicon Valley, safety concerns surrounding autonomous vehicles, and the shady tactics of private tech investing.
Before founding The Information, Jessica was a senior technology reporter and news editor at the Wall Street Journal for eight years. She was part of the team that was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for a 2011 series on digital privacy and helped the team win a 2011 public service award from the Society of Professional Journalists.
Jessica is also a contributor to CNBC and has appeared on programs such as NPR, CNN, and PBS's "The Charlie Rose Show." She graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 2005 and lives with her family in San Francisco.
