Owen Edwards

Owen Edwards is a seasoned professional in programme management within the international development sector, with expertise in various areas including Operations, Monitoring and Evaluation, Results Based Management, and Resource Allocation and Mobilization.

Currently serving as the Implementation Coordinator for UNDP's People Strategy, People for 2030, Owen is dedicated to enhancing UNDP's capacity to achieve better outcomes in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

With a rich background, Owen Edwards previously contributed significantly to operational improvements within UNDP, addressing complex global challenges and increasing the organization's agility and effectiveness.

Prior to his role at UNDP, Owen held key positions at DAI, an international development consultancy firm, where he served as a Principal Project Manager and Monitoring and Evaluation Manager across various countries over a span of 9 years.

Owen Edwards is academically qualified, holding a Masters in Management and Implementation of Development Projects with professional certifications in programme and project management. He is also known for his dedicated support of Aldershot Town Football Club.
