Dwight Smith

Dwight Smith is an accomplished Commanding Officer with a rich background in the military industry, excelling in areas such as Government, Navy, Emergency Management, Training and Readiness, Human Resources, and Operational Planning.

His educational journey includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, followed by two Master of Science (MS) degrees - one in Physical Oceanography and Meteorology from the Naval Postgraduate School, and another in Engineering Management from The Catholic University of America. He also pursued a Masters in Engineering/Industrial Management at The Catholic University of America.

Dwight's professional experience is extensive, having held key positions such as Director of Maritime Safety Office and former Director of Office of Space Operations and Integration at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. He has also served as NGA Navy Element Executive Officer, METOC/Foundation GEOINT Division Chief, Executive Officer, and Commanding Officer in the US Navy. Additionally, he has held roles such as METOC Officer at The Joint Staff, President of the Annapolis Chapter at the National Naval Officers Association, Oceanography Department Instructor at the US Naval Academy, Member of the National Naval Officers Association, Strike Group METOC Officer, Student, Action Officer, Officer in Charge of Strategic Weapons System Training, and Submarine Junior Officer at the US Naval Academy.
