Economic and Community Development at City of Chattanooga
Dwan Austin is the Brownfield Coordinator for the City of Chattanooga, a position she has held since March 2018.2 With over 25 years of experience in project and program development1, Austin focuses on brownfield redevelopment as part of the city's Economic Development team.5 Her responsibilities include managing brownfield assessment and cleanup projects, such as the $500,000 EPA Brownfield Cleanup Grant for an abandoned rail corridor in the Alton Park neighborhood.13 Austin works to transform underutilized or contaminated properties into productive spaces, enhancing the quality of life for Chattanooga residents.15
