Dustin Whittenburg

Dustin Whittenburg is an experienced tax attorney with expertise in tax planning, tax controversy, and estate planning. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Texas Tech University and later pursued a J.D. in Tax Law/Taxation from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He also earned an M.S. in Accounting and an LL.M in Taxation from Texas Tech University and New York University School of Law, respectively. Over the years, Dustin has represented clients in Federal and State tax controversies, IRS audits, appeals, and litigation in Tax Court and the United States District Court. Additionally, he has assisted clients in starting business entities and nonprofit organizations, handled mergers and acquisitions, tax-free reorganizations, state and local taxes, as well as the issuance of tax-exempt bonds.

Currently working at The Law Office of Dustin Whittenburg, he previously worked at Cox Smith Matthews Incorporated and DeHay & Elliston as a Tax and Litigation Associate, respectively.
