Durham Society

Durham University Finance Society, formerly known as the Durham University Investment and Finance Group, was established in 2003 with a membership of over 4000 individuals.

The society serves as a link between top financial institutions in the City and exceptional students at Durham University, providing various financial training workshops and employability events to equip members with the necessary skills for success in the financial sector.

Their mission is to elevate the capabilities of Durham's students to compete effectively in the global job market and offer sponsors access to outstanding candidates.

Throughout the year, the society hosts informative events focused on current financial trends, fostering connections with sponsors, and enhancing members' employability to secure internships and job offers.

Membership, sponsored by partners, is free for all students, with the goal of helping members secure positions at prestigious institutions, through collaboration and superior service to sponsors.

The society prides itself on close partnerships with sponsors and a commitment to attracting top talent at Durham University to their organizations, with a rebranding in 2015 that revamped their goals, Constitution, and marketing strategies.
