He has also served as the Chief Scientist (Theory/Simulation) and Chief Research Officer at Ames Laboratory, Adjunct Faculty at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, The Ivan Racheff Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Senior Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories, NRC Post-Doctoral Fellow at Naval Research Laboratory, and Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Bristol.
