Dr. Lem Taylor is a prominent academic and researcher in the field of exercise physiology and sports nutrition. He currently serves as a Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, a position he has held since June 2022. Dr. Taylor has an extensive educational background, holding a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Abilene Christian University, a Master of Science in Exercise & Muscle Physiology from Texas Christian University, and a PhD in Exercise, Nutrition, and Preventive Health from Baylor University.24 He has over 15 years of experience in higher education, focusing on research related to nutrition, supplementation, and exercise interventions, with more than 150 published works including journal articles and book chapters.12
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Taylor is an active member of several professional organizations, including the International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). He has held leadership positions such as the Executive Director of the Texas Chapter of the ACSM and President of the ISSN from 2011 to 2014.12 His research primarily investigates the impact of sports supplements on body composition and athletic performance, and he is involved in various consulting roles within the sports nutrition field.12
