Katrin Becker

Dr. Katrin Becker is a prominent figure specializing in Knowledge Translation, primarily within STEM fields. Her expertise lies in serious game design & analysis, gamification of learning, course & curricular design, distance education, educational object design, programming, teaching, and assessment across institutional and corporate settings.

She holds a diverse educational background having studied Computer Science at the University of Calgary for her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees. Additionally, she pursued a Graduate Certificate in Serious Game Design and Research at Michigan State University and completed her Ph.D. in Educational Technology at the University of Calgary.

Dr. Katrin Becker has been actively involved in various organizations throughout her career. She currently serves as the President at Mink Hollow Media. Previously, she held leadership positions such as Vice-President at ACCP/CAID. She also contributed to academia through roles like Adjunct Professor and Instructor in Computer Science and Information Systems at Mount Royal University.
