Senior Research Engineer - Smart Sensing and Perception for Robots, UTS Robotics Institute

Dr. Karthick Thiyagarajan is an academic researcher at the UTS Robotics Institute with a focus on Infrastructure Robotics and smart sensing technologies. He serves as a Chief Investigator for various research projects in collaboration with water utility companies globally. His work has earned him recognition through awards such as the NSW Student Water Prize and the National Research Innovation Award. Dr. Thiyagarajan leads the Smart Sensing Technologies Research at the iPipes Lab, UTS, and has extensive experience in teaching Mechatronics at UTS. His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Smart Sensors, an M.Sc. in Mechatronics, and a B.E. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
