Jay Jalisi
Delegate, Maryland General Assembly
Hasan "Jay" Jalisi, born on November 17, 1965, is an American politician and physician who served as a Democratic member of the Maryland House of Delegates for District 10. He was first elected to the Maryland General Assembly in 2014 and held office until January 11, 2023. Jalisi is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University and received his medical training at Harvard Medical School, specializing in internal medicine.34
During his time in the Maryland House of Delegates, Jalisi was a member of the Judiciary Committee and participated in various subcommittees focusing on civil law and criminal justice. His legislative work included advocating for health care reform and other community issues.125 In the 2022 elections, he ran for the Maryland State Senate but was defeated by Benjamin Brooks.5
