Dr. Christoph Massner

Dr. Christoph Massner is an accomplished investor in the Health Fund at Earlybird Venture Capital, specializing in deal sourcing, due diligence, and deal closing.

With a robust background in research and academia, Dr. Massner holds a PhD in Synthetic Biology from the Technical University of Munich and has conducted research across various laboratories in Germany and Australia for over 7 years.

He is actively involved as a board member in prominent organizations such as wellabe, Ariceum Therapeutics, and Noscendo, while also serving as a board observer for Alesi Surgical and Shape Memory Medical.

Dr. Massner's expertise lies in digital health, medical devices and technologies, diagnostics, R&D platform technology, and biopharmaceuticals.

Prior to his role at Earlybird Venture Capital, Dr. Massner held positions as a Co-Founder and CEO at Wermon GmbH, an Associate, Analyst, and Principal at Earlybird Venture Capital, and a Sales Representative at TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company.

He holds educational qualifications including a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Synthetic Biology from the Technical University of Munich, a Diplom Biologe t.o. in Technical Biology from the University of Stuttgart, and Research Project experience in Structural Biology from the University of Melbourne.
