C. Sasikumar

Dr. C. Sheela Sasikumar is a highly experienced professional in clinical trials and research, boasting a career spanning over two decades in the hospital and healthcare industry.

With over 28 years of teaching experience at the college level, Dr. Sasikumar is a distinguished educator known for her excellent communication skills.

Her expertise lies in biochemistry, particularly in areas such as Biotechnology, Nanotechnology, Clinical Biochemistry, Preclinical Studies, Diabetes, Protein Chemistry, Life Sciences, and Cell Biology.

She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Madras and has a strong background in research, having published over 58 research papers in national and international journals as well as contributing to four chapters in books on Environmental Biotechnology and Toxicology.

Currently serving as the Director of Clinical Research at S.S Healthcare, Dr. Sasikumar leads clinical research and experimental development services in Medicine and Pharmacy.

She is also a member of the Seed Fund Technical Subcommittee at Golden Jubilee Women Biotech Par.

Previously, she held roles such as Head of Clinical Research at Hycare Super Specialty Hospital, Senior Research Consultant at the Wound Care Centre, and Chief Scientific Officer at both FLL and Frontier Lifeline Pvt. Ltd.

Moreover, Dr. Sasikumar has academic experience as the Coordinator of the Biotech Department at Loyola College Chennai and as the Head of Department at D.G. Vaishnav.

Her rich academic background includes a PhD in Clinical Biochemistry, an M.Phil. in Clinical Biochemistry, and a Master's degree in Clinical Biochemistry from the University of Madras.
