Dr. Wahidyar is a recipient of national and international awards and is proficient in Pashto, Dari, Urdu, English, and Arabic.

His educational background includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in General Practice from Shiekh Zayed University, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in International and Comparative Education from the University of Sydney, Executive Education from Harvard Business School, a Bachelor of Education (BEd) in Education from the University of Peshawar, a Diploma in Global Terrorism from the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), a Master of Arts (MA) in International Relations and Affairs, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government both from the University of Peshawar.
