Dr. Anusha Panjwani is the Head of Science at COST, overseeing the management of science operations in alignment with COST's mission.
With a background in Virology and Bioscience, Dr. Panjwani combines academic and policy expertise to drive effective policy decisions.
Her educational journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Virology from The Pirbright Institute, a Master of Science in Bioscience (Infection and Immunity) from the University of Leeds, and multiple PhDs from institutions like University of Leeds and Harvard Medical School.
Throughout her career, Dr. Panjwani has held key roles across various organizations such as COST Association, UK COVID-19 Vaccine taskforce, Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, Food Standards Agency, Campaign for Science and Engineering, Harvard Medical School, and more.
She has a proven track record in science partnerships, engagement, communications, and research, with a focus on enhancing the impact of science in the EU and beyond.
Dr. Panjwani is adept at integrating COST Actions with other European Research Area activities to elevate the influence of science and ensure the delivery of value-added services like the COST Academy, COST Global Networking, and Science-informed Policy Advice.
Her experience spans from postdoctoral research roles to policy fellowships, showcasing a well-rounded background in both scientific research and strategic policymaking.
