Douglas R. Satterfield is a retired Army brigadier general known for his exceptional leadership in the military. With over thirty years of service, Satterfield has an enviable background as an army engineer, having served in high-ranking positions both in the United States and Iraq. Satterfield is a passionate writer and is currently working on a book about the military "surge" in Iraq. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.S. before earning two separate master's degrees, one at Oklahoma State University and the other at the prestigious U.S. Army War College. During his illustrious military career, he held several key positions, including Deputy Commanding General at the 412th Theater Engineer Command, Chief of Staff at United States Forces Iraq, Commander, 3rd Brigade (Civil Affairs) at 100th Division, MNC-I C-7 Facilities Chief at Multi-National Forces Iraq, and Design Engineer at 1st Cavalry Division. Nowadays, Satterfield is available for military consultations and stays in Southern New Jersey with his wife Nancy.
