Douglas McNamara is a seasoned Partner at the Firm, Cohen Milstein, since 2001, with a focus on Consumer Protection & Commercial Contingency practice groups.
With a diverse legal background, Mr. McNamara has handled various cases involving dangerous pharmaceuticals, medical devices, defective consumer products, and environmental torts.
Prior to his role at Cohen Milstein, he served as a litigation associate at Arnold & Porter, specializing in pharmaceutical and product liability cases, and also worked at the Legal Aid Society in New York City defending indigent criminal defendants.
Mr. McNamara is not only an accomplished attorney but also an author of two law review articles on legal topics. He currently imparts his knowledge as an adjunct professor at George Washington University School of Law, teaching a course on environmental and toxic torts.
His academic achievements include a JD from New York University School of Law and a BA in Political Science (summa cum laude) from the State University of New York at Albany.
