Douglas Kakoma

Douglas Kakoma is a hands-on and results-driven investment executive with over 12 years of extensive experience in corporate finance, project finance and management, venture/private equity fund management, and SME investments in Zambia.

He has worked with start-up and growth businesses across various sectors including mining, manufacturing, agro-processing, aquaculture, telecom, wood processing, financial services, entertainment, education, and retail trading, providing financial and management expertise.

With a proven track record of successfully launching and running new start-up companies, products, and marketing campaigns in Zambia, Douglas has held key roles such as Inventory Controller at Celtel, Business Development Manager at Commercial Capital Corporation Limited, Portfolio Manager at Kukula Capital Plc, and Senior Investment Analyst at the Zambia Industrial Development Corporation Limited.

Known for his ability to manage multiple complex projects and adapt quickly to new situations and tight deadlines, his specialties lie in areas like project finance and management, corporate valuations, venture/PE investments, mergers and acquisitions, public-private infrastructure partnerships, and corporate finance.
