Douglas Colish

Meet Douglas Colish, a Technical Writer Level IV at Google with over 30 years of experience as a Systems Administrator. He has worked in various industries, including telecommunications, finance, pharmaceuticals, online advertising, and the internet. Douglas is a detail-oriented technical writer who has a proven track record of creating internal technical design documents, user guides, procedural and how-to guides, diagrams, building websites, and updating team procedural documents. He recently transitioned to a Technical Writer role for Google's production Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) organization and is well-versed in supporting all flavors of Unix, 3rd party applications, and enterprise-class storage, including Storage Area Network and Network Attached Storage, switches, and configuration management tools. Douglas is a certified GIAC Security Essentials professional, and his vast experience includes providing security remediation, cloud infrastructure review, and emergency troubleshooting. Currently, he is mentoring two Google technical writers.
