shopkick is the largest "real world" shopping app and the first mobile app that gives consumers rewards, offers and exclusive deals at national retail partners for walking into more than 7,500 stores and for interacting with brand partners at over 250,000 locations nationwide.  Nielsen rates shopkick as the 4th largest shopping app (only behind ebay, Amazon and Groupon) with over 5 million users.  

Responsible for driving revenue and overseeing retail partners.  Have grown revenue 18x from the year before joining to 2013.  Partners include retailers such as Target, Macy's, Best Buy, Old Navy, American Eagle and over 100 brands such as P&G, Unilever, Pepsi and HP.  Investors are Greylock Partners and Kleiner Perkins.

Chief Revenue Officer

Joined Shutterfly with new CEO and helped redefine mission, vision, values and strategy.  Grew revenue from $50 million to $500 million and 7% EBITDA to 23%.  Completed successful IPO 18 months after joining.

Business Development. Created business development strategy which increased new customers from BD by 250%.  Targeted verticals such as new moms, newlyweds, travel, camera purchasers, computer purchasers, youth sports and retail.  Executed over 50 partnerships that include Amazon, Expedia, TripAdvisor, BabyCenter, TheKnot, David’s Bridal, Dell, Sony, SanDisk, Target, BestBuy, Borders, Walgreens, and Livestrong.

Corporate Development.  Led corporate acquisition strategy which focused on driving growth of core business, expanding into new markets and acquiring technology to accelerate product development.  Acquired 4 companies and led all aspects of company identification, diligence, negotiation, closing, and integration.

Corporate Strategy.  Executed new growth initiatives to expand current businesses such as building new Sponsorship/Advertising business (multi-million dollar revenue business), developed plan to launch commercial printing division to drive free cash flow to take advantage of excess printing capacity, and expanded manufacturing nationwide (closed CA facility, built Southeast and West 100,000sf facilities).

GM Incubation.  Developed and managed new businesses.  Built advertising business to promote premium brands on Shutterfly.  Responsible for all aspects of developing ad products, selling to brands, defining technology requirements, implementing targeting and overseeing ad operations.  Business generated 7-figure revenue within 2 years.  Additionally, oversaw Professional Photography business and the Shutterfly Foundation.

Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) is a non-profit organization transforming youth sports by training coaches and parents to honor the game to positively impact today's youth.  PCA has trained 400,000 coaches that have influenced 4,000,000 players and is supported by Phil Jackson, Larry Brown, Herm Edwards, Summer Sanders and others.

Raised capital to fund speciality auto finance company to take advantage of an opportunity identified while at E-LOAN when Bank of America's consumer-direct auto finance division was purchased.

Started new division reporting to COO with responsibility to build and manage emerging business units that grew from $100 million to $500 million in sales.

Strategic Planning.  Identified and built new revenue streams by analyzing general data to identify trends, studying specific industry needs and creating growth strategies.

Product Development.  Performed buyer/seller research which when combined with eBay “barrier” research designed new product and platform wide enhancements for perishable items (e.g. Tickets) such as Immediate Pay which grew to 20% of sales in 8 weeks as well as launched 1 day auction formats.

Industry Outreach & Customer Acquisition. Forged industry relationships in each new vertical which included agreements with Clear Channel, Bob Dylan, Priceline, and Marriott.  Developed marketing plans to drive awareness and traffic to new Categories.  Delivered 70-85% annual growth.

3rd employee and first Executive to join Founders.  Raised venture funding from Benchmark, Sequoia and Softbank.  Built company to $150 million, 850 people and successful IPO in 1999.

Strategy and Corporate Development. Drove efforts to create new revenue streams beyond mortgages which grew from 0% to 40% of total revenue.  Led negotiations for acquisition of nation’s largest online auto lender from Bank of America.  Managed private placement of $40 million with Charles Schwab to forge deep integrated opportunity with Schwab’s customers.  Led numerous other corporate activities such as large vendor negotiations.  National speaker and one of company’s press spokespersons. 

Strategic Alliances.  Responsible for all business development partnerships.  Completed 70 alliances with companies such as Yahoo, Charles Schwab, eBay and AutoTrader.

International. Launched geographic expansion and oversaw international business.  Raised $60 million for UK, EU and Asia joint ventures with News Corp, Vivendi and Softbank.  Served as Board Member on UK, EU and Asia businesses.
