Donn Trent

Donn Trent is an Australian literacy expert with a passion for the dissemination of phonics-based literacy programs around the world. Trent's educational background includes studying International Development, Literacy, Sustainable Education, and Sustainable Development at Macquarie University. Additionally, Trent obtained a BA Econ (Hons) in Economics from the same university. Trent's professional experience includes working as the Program Design Manager and Director at Teach the World to Read, a non-profit organization that provides free phonics reading programs to aid agencies and charities worldwide. Trent is committed to addressing the global literacy crisis and has helped over 400,000 families and children throughout Africa and India develop fundamental phonics skills. Trent is also an expert in developing e-learning frameworks using phonics to assist Cert 111 qualified staff to develop enhanced literacy skills in aged care and community care. Trent's recognition includes research by United States Agency for International Development that shows reading ability can improve by 485% over the course of a single year using the Fantastic Phonics system.
