Donald Ruff

Donald Ruff is the Director of College and Postsecondary Initiatives at The Eagle Academy Foundation (EAF), with a focus on developing and supporting all-male, college-preparatory schools in urban areas.

He is a dedicated professional committed to enhancing educational and life outcomes for inner-city youth, known for his charismatic leadership and vision for youth and families.

Mr. Ruff has been a featured speaker at prestigious events and conferences like Harvard Graduate School of Education, Urban Education Symposium, Black Male Initiative Conference (CUNY), and COSEBOC, showcasing his expertise in education and youth advocacy.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Mr. Ruff has received accolades such as the 'Outstanding Leadership in Education' award from the New York City Department of Education and the 'Phyllis Hyman Phat Friend Award' from the All Stars Project.

His commitment to the success of young men has led to multiple 'Educator of the Year' awards from The Eagle Academy for Young Men.

Mr. Ruff is involved in various organizations, including One Hundred Black Men of New York, NACAC, and CACNY, demonstrating his active engagement in promoting educational access and opportunities.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History & African-American Studies from Oberlin College and has pursued executive management and leadership programs at Columbia Business School.
