Don Loeb

Donald Loeb is the CEO of Headlands West Advisory LLC, a firm that specializes in corporate development services for venture capital firms and technology startups. With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, Loeb has a strong background in developing, scaling, and mentoring companies, as well as facilitating mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Before founding Headlands West in 2019, Loeb served as the Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy at Techstars, where he supported over 2,000 portfolio companies by helping them establish strategic partnerships and navigate fundraising and M&A processes. His team at Techstars was instrumental in closing more than 100 M&A transactions during his tenure.123

Loeb's career includes significant roles at major tech companies such as Google, Yahoo, and Adobe. He was involved in business development at Storify and Typekit, both of which were acquired by Adobe, and held various product management positions at Google, including work on iGoogle. Earlier in his career, he also worked at FeedBurner, which was acquired by Google, and at iSyndicate.12

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and resides in Berkeley, California. In addition to his role at Headlands West, Loeb is active in mentoring and advising startups through various organizations, including Indie.vc and Berkeley Skydeck.12
