Don Smith is a seasoned professional with vast experience in the IT industry, particularly in the realm of DB2 for z/OS.

With a background in systems programming, customer advocacy, and people management, Don has held various key roles at IBM, ranging from Program Director to Senior Manager and Development Manager.

His expertise extends to areas such as parallel processing, development in PL/I, COBOL, and common runtimes across multiple platforms including z/OS, AIX, and Windows.

Don's educational background includes studying BA in Mathematics and Humanities at San Jose State University, along with attending Live Oak High School.

Formerly associated with multiple divisions within IBM, Don has served as Program Director for IBM Z and Linux Client Care, Cloud Operations, Support & Governance, and DB2 for z/OS Worldwide Technical Support, among others.
