Don MacKenzie

Don MacKenzie is a real estate executive with extensive experience in property development and financial analysis.12 He was named Managing Director and Chief Development Officer of Forum Real Estate Group in Denver, Colorado in August 2016.2 Prior to this, Don had a long career in real estate development, including:

1. President and CEO of MacKenzie House, LLC from 1999 to 2009, developing luxury residential properties.1
2. Worked for companies like Equity Residential Properties, UDR, and Forum Real Estate LLC, developing billions of dollars worth of luxury multifamily rental, mixed-use, and high-end single-family residential projects.1
3. At the time of his passing in 2020, he was president and CEO of Upstream Development, working on a project to develop a former aggregate mine in Edwards, Colorado into a community with seasonal luxury apartments, retail spaces, and a boutique hotel.1

Don MacKenzie began his career as a financial analyst at Paine Webber in New York City, specializing in financial institutions. This experience led him to real estate as a vocation, particularly during the Savings & Loan crisis.1 He was also involved in philanthropic work, serving on the board of the Center for Work Education and Employment (CWEE) for over two decades.1
