Don Hegardt

Don Hegardt is an experienced professional with more than 17 years of experience working in the real estate industry. He has worked both as a Realtor and as a mortgage loan officer. Currently, Don is a Mortgage Loan Officer at First Tech Federal Credit Union, where he has been providing his expertise to the Santa Rosa, CA region since 2011. Don's experience as a Realtor serves him well as it provides him with unique insight into the real estate process from different perspectives.

Don believes buying a home and going through the mortgage process can be stressful and overwhelming for borrowers. His goal is to make the process as simple as possible for them. He does this by listening and explaining different options for loan programs and rates, and helping borrowers choose the right program and rate that will meet their unique needs.

Don is proud to be part of First Tech Federal Credit Union, which has an incredible back-office team and resources that enable them to fund over $100 million in loans each month for their members. They have in-house processing and underwriting, as well as the ability to close on purchases in as little as 14 days. First Tech Federal Credit Union also services almost all of their loans, maintaining that relationship with their members.

Don has studied Economics at the University of San Francisco. He has worked as a Mortgage Loan Officer at Redwood Credit Union and Century 21 Alliance.
