Dominic Penaloza, also known as 卢汉森, is a seasoned entrepreneur with a successful track record in the technology and real estate sectors. He played a pivotal role in establishing naked Hub as a prominent coworking company in Asia, ultimately leading to its acquisition by WeWork for USD 400 million. Prior to this, Dominic was the CEO and founder of REinvent, Asia's pioneering PropTech innovation studio, supported by major players in the Asian property market.
During his tenure as the Head of Innovation & Technology at WeWork China, Dominic oversaw a large team responsible for full-stack technology product development. Before the merger with WeWork, he served as the Chief Innovation Officer and technology founder of naked Hub, where he developed a proprietary technology suite tailored for coworking network operations. This led to the creation of the 'naked Hub Operating System' which was later sold to prominent landlords as 'Community As A Service.'
As a serial entrepreneur in the consumer internet sector, Dominic has founded successful internet companies and secured over USD 35 million in funding. His ventures include Ushi, a prominent Chinese professional social network, WorldFriends, an international social network with millions of members, and HungryForWords, a platform that helped Chinese and Japanese individuals enhance their English proficiency.
Prior to his entrepreneurial endeavors, Dominic gained valuable experience in finance, serving as an Assistant Director at Prudential Asset Management Asia and working as an investment banker at Smith Barney in Hong Kong. He holds an Honors Business Administration degree from the University of Western Ontario's Richard Ivey School of Business and is fluent in English and Mandarin.
