Dominic Martel
Dominic Martel, a former undergraduate research assistant at Arizona Cancer Center and holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Arizona, is currently a Science Teacher at Great Hearts Academies. With an associate's degree in Biology, General from Glendale Community College, Martel has a strong foundation in biological sciences, which he has been able to apply in both academic and professional settings. He formerly worked as a desk assistant at UA Residence Life, where he gained experience in administrative duties, customer service and record-keeping.
As a Science Teacher at Great Hearts Academies, Martel has helped students develop their scientific literacy, research skills, and critical thinking abilities through a rigorous curriculum, interactive teaching style and project-based learning. He is passionate about educating the next generation of scientists, and he takes his role as a mentor seriously.
