Diya Malhotra

Diya Malhotra is a Principal at Abingworth, a leading international life sciences investment group. She has been with the firm since June 2021, initially joining as an Investment Manager before being promoted to Principal in July 2023. In her role, she collaborates with the transatlantic investment team, particularly focusing on clinical co-development opportunities, evaluating new investments, and supporting existing ones.12

Educational Background

Diya holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Clinical Neuropharmacology from Imperial College London, where she studied from 2013 to 2016. She also earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Pharmacology from University College London from 2010 to 2013. Prior to her academic pursuits, she completed her International Baccalaureate Diploma at the Overseas Family School in Singapore.12

Professional Experience

Before joining Abingworth, Diya worked as a Life Sciences Consultant at L.E.K. Consulting from March 2017 to June 2021, where she advised pharmaceutical and biotech clients on corporate strategy and opportunity assessments. Her expertise lies in the life sciences sector, which she continues to leverage in her current role at Abingworth.23
