During his tenure at History from 2007, Hoogstra led the development and oversight of an impressive array of scripted and unscripted series like Hatfields & McCoys, The Bible, Vikings, Sons of Liberty, and many more.

Hoogstra's journey in the media realm began in 1995 with Discovery Communications Inc., where he dedicated a decade to developing and producing a vast amount of programming for networks like TLC, Discovery Primetime, and Discovery Networks International. His contributions played a significant role in shaping the content landscape across these platforms. Following his successful stint at History, Hoogstra established Triton City Entertainment, LLC, his own company. Triton City Entertainment focuses on creating Intellectual Property in sci-fi/fantasy and animation genres tailored for original TV and feature film franchises, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.
