Deep Nishar

Dipchand Nishar, often called Deep, is a seasoned internet executive with over two decades of experience in leading large organizations to develop innovative and user-friendly products that make a significant impact on people's lives.

During his tenure at LinkedIn, Deep oversaw the overall consumer and monetization product strategy, playing a pivotal role in transforming the platform into the world's most extensive professional network with 347 million members globally. He was also in charge of managing the profit and loss of all online revenue streams, which amounted to $869 million in 2014. Prior to LinkedIn, he worked at Google, where he spearheaded the mobile business division from its inception in 2005 and received the prestigious Google Founders Award. Deep is the co-author of 14 U.S. patents.

Apart from his corporate roles, Deep provides advisory services to numerous companies and guides founders through various stages of business development, including startup, growth, and acquisition. He holds positions on the boards of several public and private organizations, including companies such as Automation Anywhere, Cohesity, Slack, and Tripadvisor, among others.

His academic background boasts a diverse range of qualifications, including an MBA in Business from Harvard Business School, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Professionally, Deep Nishar currently serves as the Managing Director and a member of the Management Committee at General Catalyst. He has previously held roles as a University Lecturer at Stanford University, Senior Managing Partner at SoftBank Investment Advisers, Board of Trustees member at Castilleja School, Senior Vice President of Products & User Experience at LinkedIn, Senior Director of Products at Google, Inc., and Founder & Vice President of Products at Patkai Networks.
