Founded git//scale, a code analytics platform aiming to take the Open Source model to the next level by adding an economic layer on top of the git protocol. Invited to both Startup Braga and the Lisbon Challenge accelerator programs. Built up 2 small teams, led customer development and 2 MVPs. Shut down efficiently due to poor product-market fit and muddy industry dynamics. Not what we want to spend our time in.

Luminara Blockchain is an Asset Tokenization Platform that enables its clients to create asset-backed, regulation-compliant, programmable securities on the Ethereum blockchain. Our clients can increase the profitability of your real world asset as well as raise financing for new projects. 
Luminara has been put on hold due to regulatory uncertainties. We have invested several months building up and training a small but competent team with expertise in blockchain technology as well as legal and financial aspects. As one of the first asset tokenization platforms in Portugal (if not the first), we are proud of the path we have pioneered. We have learned a lot, and are putting to full use in our new project, git//scale.

I relocated to New York to formalize my User Experience Design skillset. I took General Assembly's UXDI programme, a fulltime, intensive, hands-on training that is consistently rated as one of the top UX design immersive courses worlwide, known for its focus on real life projects and practitioning instructors from companies like Google and Yahoo.
My primary goal was to design better startups and gain competencies as a UX researcher and Product Manager. My secondary goal was to connect extensively with the NY huge UX community.

I was an active member of the joint-effort led by Eurecan to create the first formal member-led community of high-potential entrepreneurs in Spain, especially during 2008-2010. The startup/VC ecosystem has changed drastically since then.

As a pure Business Developer for Sogeti / Capgemini Group, I was responsible for opening up and developing the Madrid market for consulting services focusing on Software Quality Assurance. 
Over this period of time, I have worked several types of accounts in different sectors, mostly small and medium accounts on the internet and media sectors, and large accounts in the telco, retail, tourism and industry sectors.

As Co-Founder and first Assistant Director of the IE Venture Lab, a new business incubator at Instituto de Empresa Business School (www.ie.edu) in Madrid, Spain, I have developed and implemented the incubator concept within IE Business School.
 
As responsible for Marketing&Communications, I have also created and organized the ground-breaking IE Venture Day event (ventureday.ie.edu), effectively bringing together a community of entrepreneurs and investors with whom the creation of an early stage investment fund could be possible. The IE Venture Lab is nowadays a reality: each year 2 editions of the Venture Day are held, weekly entrepreneur pitch sessions are regularly jam packed, and a coworking space has been created: Area 31.

FON is a wireless access provider startup (www.fon.com) based in Madrid. For FON I did market research, early stage business model scenario elaboration and analysis, and industry and pricing analysis to support strategy formulation.

Working on the implementation of a Business Plan developed during my MBA at Instituto de Empresa: the IE Venture Lab, a business incubator/accelerator for MBA student-led Business Projects.

I was the first certified Software Architect in WhatEverSoft, a 100+ people software house in Lisbon. I held multiple roles and responsibilities, from the essential designing and developing projects for clients, to developing the company's internal methodologies, processes and tools. I held Pre-Sales and Training responsibilities on critical customers, and later took on the role of Product Manager for the company's first spinoff product. Main clients included Brisa, CTT and one of the first e-brokers in Portugal.

Started off as Systems Analyst, then moved on to doing research into new software technologies being introduced in BT, specifically related to the Java software platform. Achieved Java Software Architect certification in February 2000. Co-founded the BT XML Forum.
