Dimitrie Stefanescu is the Founder and CEO of Speckle Systems, a company he established in May 2020.1 Speckle is an open source data platform for the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry, described as fast, web-scale, automation-ready, and visually impressive.1
Prior to founding Speckle, Stefanescu's career included:

Stefanescu has a PhD from University College London (UCL) and has been involved in computational design and digital fabrication throughout his career.1 He has tutored numerous workshops on these topics across Europe, collaborating with various universities including TU Delft, TU Berlin, and UTC Cluj.1
His language proficiencies include native or bilingual proficiency in Romanian and English, limited working proficiency in French, and elementary proficiency in German.1
