Diego Nájera
Diego Najera, a film producer and industry expert, has a wealth of experience in film development, financing, and curation. He worked at AG Capital before joining Participant, where he was integral in producing SPARK (Dir. Juan Martinez Vera, 2016), a BAFTA US Student Film Award nominee and an HBO-distributed film. His latest short film, LIBERTY (Dir. Faren Humes, 2019), premiered at Berlinale Generation, receiving the Special Jury Prize, and won Best Narrative Short at SXSW, Chicago Film Festival, and the Champs Elysées Film Festival. Diego is a Co-Founder and Board Member of the Latin Tracking Board (LATB), which supports and develops Latinx talent in the executive ranks through an online community and monthly speaker series. Before joining Participant, Diego served as a Producer and Film Programmer at the Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG). Diego holds an MFA in Peter Stark Producing Program from USC, and a Bachelor's degree from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
