Diarmuid Bland

Diarmuid Bland is a highly experienced watch professional with over 35 years of expertise in various business disciplines, particularly in Product Development, Sourcing, and Design.

He is a multilingual British national who was born and raised in Hong Kong, and has also received schooling in Switzerland and the UK.

After working for 16 years in Hong Kong across different roles, including establishing a JV company named UVW Ltd., he spent 8 years in the US and then another 6 years in Switzerland working for Fossil Inc., a prominent Design & Development Group, where he was primarily responsible for watch Design and Product Development.

Returning to Hong Kong in 2011, he remained actively engaged in the watch business and in 2012, he joined Fossil (East) Ltd., a division of Fossil Group, focusing on driving Innovation as part of the Fossil Innovation Team (FIT), and later assumed leadership of the R&D team in 2017.

His specialties include understanding brand DNA and utilizing that knowledge to drive successful product development, particularly in the areas of product direction, materials, and new technologies within the watch industry.
