Her doctoral dissertation focuses on the dynamic relationship between nonprofit and commercial theater in the United States over a transformative 70-year period, reflecting her dedication to understanding and evolving the complexities of the arts sector.

She is a board member of Anne Bogart's SITI Company and Marty Pottenger's Art At Work, and serves on the editorial board for Artivate: A Journal of Entrepreneurship in the Arts. Moreover, she is a member of the Advisory Council for the online theater platform and journal, HowlRound. Her written work reflects her deep engagement with the arts, having authored essays such as 'To What End Permanence?' for the 2019 publication, A Moment on the Clock of the World, and a 2009 article in the Stanford Social Innovation Review titled 'Recreating Fine Arts Institutions.'
